SFMOMA | Fisher Collection Reimagined

We are honored to share that works published by Gemini G.E.L. are now on permanent display at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art as part of Fisher Collection Reimagined, celebrating the transformative gift of the Doris and Donald Fisher Collection to SFMOMA.

Among the works on view are three editions published by Gemini G.E.L. that were acquired by the Fisher family and have now entered one of the most significant museum collections in the United States:

Claes Oldenburg, Geometric Mouse, Scale C, 1971.

Jasper Johns, Light Bulb, from the series Lead Reliefs, 1969.

Jasper Johns, High School Days, from the series Lead Reliefs, 1969.

These works reflect the enduring ambition that has defined Gemini since its founding in 1966: to collaborate with the most important artists of our time in the creation of editions that are, unequivocally, works of art. Seeing them installed within the Fisher Collection at SFMOMA is a source of tremendous pride — and a testament to the lasting significance of the artists and works that have been at the heart of Gemini's mission for sixty years.

Fisher Collection Reimagined is on view at SFMOMA now.
